Since 2008, the Tarkett’s Finance Department's has rolled out its strategy in four core areas:

- To support the external growth of the Group which has acquired and integrated thirteen companies in nine countries in the last five years. The latest acquisition in September 2012 of US flooring company Tandus is helping to strengthen the group's position in North America, where Tarkett now achieves sales of around $1billion dollars.

- To implement finance processes in line with the highest standards of the major international groups listed on the Stock Exchange, in this way ensuring adherence to the best corporate governance principles (internal control, reporting, risk management and ethics).

- To federate the Group through the implementation of a standardized global information system (SAP), which over time will enable the Group's 70 entities to benefit from a unified ERP.

- To manage decentralized, international teams in more than 26 countries, with the focus on a strong local presence and supporting cultural diversity. The Finance Function employs around 500 people, working in finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), audit and information systems.

The “Trophées Leaders de la Finance”, organized by the Leaders League, a media group based in France and created in 1988, reward the best companies, teams and personalities within the French corporate finance sector, based on the judgment of a jury of more than 60 industry experts.

Three major categories of professionals are singled out and rewarded: best CFOs and finance departments, best corporate and investment banks and best specialized financial advisers.
