Tarkett introduces fast and convenient 2G Locking System across all laminate lines.
Tarkett Laminate announced today the introduction of the new 2G Locking System across all laminate product lines. This new fold down clip-on system allows professionals and end-users to install a given surface in up to 50% less time when compared to common laminate, while requiring only one person instead of two for the installation process. In addition, the new mechanism uses an audible “click” device to guarantee highest lay precision and safety standards, thus making faulty installations almost impossible. The installation is glue free.
The new 2G Locking system has been successfully employed and market tested in 2009 on Tarkett’s wooden parquet lines, already produced at the Laminate Park production site in Eiweiler, Germany. The new licensed technology has been developed in cooperation with Vällinge Innovation AB, a Swedish specialist in fold down locking applications.
“Professionals and homeowners are looking for safe, fast and user-friendly solutions. The 2G Locking System eases installation, saves time and guarantees the perfect locking of our parquet and laminate flooring.” says Mr Benoit Miquel, VP Tarkett Business Centre Wood.
