Open since 1964, Central DuPage Hospital in Chicago Illinois offers comprehensive medical and surgical services to communities in Chicago’s western suburbs. The hospital is part of an interdependent network of healthcare organizations and services, including convenient care centers, occupational health services, home health and hospice care.
When the Paediatric Short Stay unit at Central DuPage Hospital was constructed during the fall of 2009, the hospital wanted to provide a cheerful and inviting environment without appearing too juvenile since its patients’ ages range from newborn to eighteen years.
Cortina Grande commercial resilient tile from Azrock, a Tarkett company, offered the flexibility to create interesting designs and a wide range of color options to provide the desired aesthetics. Plus, its reduced maintenance qualities and the superior performance warranty met the facility’s needs within budget.
In addition, the project covering a 371 m2 surface, was awarded the Starnet Grand Prize Crystal Award in 2010 for best overall design.
