The BFM Green Business Award 2011

Tarkett being awarded for its sustainable development strategy

Organized by BFM, in partnership with ADME (Agency for Environment and Energy Management) and Ernst & Young, the BFM Green Business Award recognizes the engagement of companies in terms of their approach towards sustainability. The jury, headed by Francis Mer, a former French Minister of Finance and Economy, thus paid tribute to Tarkett's environmental strategy via the attribution of the Strategic Developement trophy for major companies in the second edition of the Green Business Awards.

Since 2009, the Group has been engaged in an ambitious sustainability strategy. This includes considerable efforts in recycling and upcycling (103.000 tons of vinyl in 2010), while the Group also integrates the environmental lifecycle impact, as defined by the Cradle to Cradle® philosophy, into an increasing number of its product designs. As a matter of fact, Tarkett is the first French company to offer Cradle to Cradle® certified products.
