The Ahmatova High School in St. Petersburg, Russia has been an important educational center of music and art since its opening in the early nineties. When a general renovation overhaul became necessary in 2010, strict acoustic requirements, functional features such as durability for heavy traffic and comfort featured among the important criteria for the choice of the flooring. In addition, the project had to be realized under tight budget constraints. Addressing these apparently contradicting requests led to the choice of Tarkett’s Klassika as the optimal solution for the concert hall, while iQ Aria was installed in class rooms and corridors, allowing the school to regain its former beauty and functionality.
